A native and fully customized desktop application for real-time photo processing during a dance competition
Children love being active, and dancing is one of their favorite activities. During these events, competitions are held, and photos are taken to capture the special moments. However, our client wondered if there could be a more efficient way to organize these photos and categorize them into folders by event and competition number, making them easily accessible for each participant. Until now, this process was managed manually.
During a dance competition, multiple photographers capture participants one after another and simultaneously. Under these circumstances, more than 100 photos are taken in a single minute. These photos need to be organized into separate folders by participant number, watermarked, and stored in maximum quality simultaneously. This situation requires the use of multiple cameras, computers, and networks to efficiently handle the large flow of photos.
To efficiently manage the large volume of images from dance competitions, we developed a custom desktop application. This application processes the photos, organizes them into separate folders on local storage, and automatically uploads them to the cloud. Additionally, we developed a dedicated web application to identify and display the watermarked images for each participant. This web application not only automatically recognizes and tags the relevant watermarked photos but also makes them available for sale in high-quality format. In this way, we created an integrated system that simplifies the process of organizing, managing, and distributing photos from dance competitions.
